PMU CLIENT CRITERIA/CONTRAINDICATIONS
NOT everyone is an ideal candidate for permanent makeup/cosmetics.
Below we have provided a
general list of criteria/contraindications that must be met for a client to obtain services. This list is general and not all inclusive. If you have any questions/concerns prior to your service/or booking, please feel free to contact us.
- Age
- The client
MUST
be 18 years of age.
- Pregnancy/Nursing
- The client
CANNOT
be pregnant or nursing.
- Diabetes
- The client
MUST
be receiving treatment for their diabetes. The client
WILL NOT
be able to receive permanent makeup/cosmetics if their diabetes is untreated/uncontrolled.
- Injectables/Fillers
- The client
MUST
wait
4 weeks after
receiving injectables/fillers (i.e. botox), or the client
MUST
receive permanent makeup/cosmetics
4 weeks prior to.
- Accutane
- The client
CANNOT
have taken Accutane in the last year.
- Blood Thinners
- The client
CANNOT
be taking a blood thinner. If a potential client is taking a blood thinner, please contact us for further details regarding your eligibility as a client.
- Keloids
- If the client is prone to keloids (thick raised scarring caused by excess collagen in the skin), they
CANNOT
have permanent makeup/cosmetics performed.
- Skin Irritation
- The client
CANNOT
have any skin irritation (acne, rosacea, rashes, sunburns, psoriasis, eczema, etc.) to the area that will be affected/treated by permanent makeup/cosmetics.
- For lip blush clients: If the client is prone to cold sores/fever blisters, they
MUST
speak to their physician and obtain a prescription for an antiviral. The antiviral should begin 5 - 7 days before the clients scheduled service.
- Chemotherapy/Radiation
- The client
CANNOT
have received chemotherapy/radiation treatment in the last year.
